How the process works:
  • I work from digital photos (the more the better) of your pet.  I can paint mulitple animals in one painting also.
  • I will paint any type of animal, so I am not limited to cats and dogs. I have already painted a rooster, cockatoo, fish, squirrel, etc.
  • It takes about 4-12 weeks depending on the subject matter and the process times. Shipping time is addional to this time.
  • There is drying time required for the work, which is why it takes a while to complete.
  • I work with many layers building the complexity of the art work, and this too takes time.
  • The mediums that I use depend on each art piece as each one is unique unto its own.
  • I work with acrylic, oils, pastels, watercolor, ink.  I can also sculpt a 3 dimensional frame on the canvas.
  • An example of a 3D sculpted frame would be the frame around the "da Vinci Squirrel" painting below.
  • I tend to paint big.  So my smallest canvas size starts at 18"x24" and goes up from there.
  • I can custom design the painting to match your interior and design tastes.
  • If you photograph the area in which you are going to place your painting,I can make it match your home to fit beauifully.
  • If your pet had a favorite toy or place that they loved to visit, I can incoproate this into the painting.
  • If you have a favorite story about your pet, that will help with me truly refecting their character into the painting.
  • Part of this process is getting to know about your pet and what they mean to you, if you would like to share your stories.
  • Prices will vary depending on the subject matter, complexity of the artwork, and how many animals are in the painting.
  • A 18"x24" painting with no sculpted frame starts at $400 for a single subject in the artwork. This is an example of pricing.
  • I can ship your artwork anywhere as needed in the United States.  International shipments are also an option.
